Biography
Having studied at the School of Audio Engineering in Australia in the early 90s, Nick went onto work within various live sound music projects in Australia, one of those as sound crew for a Wet, Wet, Wet, concert in 1995. He then moved back to the U.K. in 1996, and worked within the Reading area as a sound engineer, volunteering his services at the Progress Theatre. From there, he found himself working as a technician within the media department at Reading College and School of Arts and Design in 1997, progressing onto teaching Music Technology at Reading.
A qualified teacher of music and music technology with 12 years experience, he specialises in audio engineering, recording, mixing, mastering and music production. Nick is also an active practitioner of music and music production, writing and performing his own material under the name Fresian since 2005. He is also the lead vocalist for the Reading covers act Critical Cover, performing popular songs of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and current within local venues and private functions around the south of England. He also contributed the live sound recording and mastering of Robb Johnson’s ‘Saturday Night at the Fire Station Album, music production for the electronic solo artist ‘Noush’ for a compilation album ‘Electronically Yours’ for Undo Records and the music composition for ‘Juncture’, a short film released by WEP Films.
Nick is also a keen supporter of West Ham United and has a passion for the country Brazil.
