Biography
After gaining a degree in Cardiff in Art Education (Fine Art and Theory) Julia completed an Art and Design PGCE in Birmingham. She has taught for over 20 years in secondary school and FE college with extensive knowledge of KS3, KS4, BTEC Level 1, 2 & 3, Art Foundation and FdA course in Fine Art Practice.
Julia has also worked with arts organisations in many organisational capacities.
Her time is currently divided between teaching and working on projects that inspire and encourage problem solving, experimentation and ultimately confidence with techniques and improved skill.
She has worked in a variety of media such as performance, installation, set design, textiles and with many other fine art practices.
Julia also exhibits widely, undertakes interesting commissions and collaborates with professionals from other disciplines.
